Up for auction is "Dreams", a comprehensive 6-LP box set by The Allman Brothers Band. Released in 1989, this is a career-spanning retrospective of these musical pioneers that covers their time as the Allman Joys and goes to "I'm No Angel" era Gregg Allman. A couple of things to note: this set has a cut-out notch on the spine (pictured). Also, beyond the cut-out, this set is in immaculate condition and complete. All 6 LPs, sleeves and 32-page booklet appear unblemished. I purchased this back in my era of "play once to record on cassette"- I am old and that was a short-sighted way to preserve my records...but it was effective. I tried to include pictures of the track listing as there are too many to run down here. If the pictures are too blurry then I must sheepishly direct you to AllMusic.com or other site for a track listing. This is an excellent set and a great starting point for anyone who is interested in the Allmans (or Southern rock in general), plus there are some unreleased and rare tracks too for the collector. There is a qualifier to that statement- "rare and unreleased up to 1989." Some or all of those tracks may have been released in other forms over the past 30 years- I cannot say for sure.
