Description

Capricorn L802.  Double play tape. Recorded live March 12 & 13, 1971. Contains "Statesboro Blues, Done Somebody Wrong, Stormy Monday, You Don't love Me, Hot 'lanta, In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" and "Whipping Post".
 Mark Kemp - Rolling Stone Magazine 2002 wrote " This double-disc live album spawned a thousand Southern-rock bands. These recordings remain the finest live rock performance ever committed to vinyl". VH1 named  At Fillmore East the 59th greatest album of all time. It was also ranked #49 by Rolling Stone on their list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time in the same year. In 2004, it was one of 50 recordings chosen that year by the Library of Congress to be added to the National Recording Registry. The song "Whipping Post" is part of the 'The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll' list. This is truly an impressive album.
