After his rebellious reggae in the 1980s shook West Africa, the that became known as Alpha blondy, Ivorian Seydou Koné was promoted to one of the world's most popular reggae artists. Outstanding merit of 1953-born singer is to have attributed the Jamaican music to Africa and back to its origins.

«With classics like "Afriki","apartheid is Nazism"and"Jérusalem"he has gained a voice outside of the black continent. A substantial contribution was the 1986 album» Jérusalem «, which alpha blondy recorded with members of the former play, the Wailers, Bob Marley in Kingston, including the brother pair Aston and Carlton Barrett (bass and drums), Jun. IOR Murvin (lead guitar), Earl Lindo (keyboards), as well as the rhythm guitarist Earl"Chinna"Smith and Owen Reid.

«As it is typical for Seydou Koné, sings this on his songs» Jérusalem «in various languages. That is in addition to English and French in its native idiom, the West African Dioula.
