Alton Ellis - I Love You / Be True to Yourself - Melrose MEL 010. Condition: VG (writing on label. light scratch transmits some light ticks for the last minute of "Be True to Yourself", whereas "I Love You" plays closer to VG+. Nothing that distracts, though... have a listen to the soundclips). Absolutely stunning two-sider here, both tracks perfect examples of Ellis at the zenith of his vocal powers.  Hard pressed to choose a favorite, I would go with "I Love You": to my ears, a Jamaican soul single at the end of the rainbow. Very rare Melrose 45. Do not miss this!  I captured a low-fi sample of both tracks from this 45 with my cellphone (it sounds much better in person!)…  Have a listen here!
