PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER).  OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.

OFF-THE-CHARTS RARE privately pressed dark, punky, jittery, new wave double-sided rocker on the Aluminum label from 198?   Release year is unclear as there is NO Discogs entry for this 45 and absolutely ZERO Google hits!  Aluminum Beach were an Ann Arbor, MI band that released one single in 1984 and called it a day (ostensibly).  Whether this one was released before or after that single remains a mystery.  Anyone with any information on this 45 please get in touch as I would like to provide at least a morsel of information about it.  I have been collecting punk and new wave since the late 70s and I have NEVER seen this 45 anywhere else.  Ever.  I have a gazillion punk and new wave compilations and this 45 has never appeared on any of them.  Not one.  Even compilations that feature the genres' rarest 45s in the world (most of which are vastly inferior to this one).  Nervous, angular keyboards and guitar hooks, paranoid lyrics, stellar, top notch production, everything you want to hear in a punk/new wave single.  This one has it all in spades on BOTH sides.  Most likely pressed in a tiny quantity and disappeared without a trace.  Until now.  I have owned this 45 for over 15 years and now it's time to release it into the world.  This is the 45 with which to impress your know-it-all music expert friend (and we all have one).  Aluminum Beach side is a gorgeous VG++ with one light paper scuff and Man Of Stone side is a flawless near mint minus.  Labels are spectacular.  You will not be disappointed.  Listen on Soundcloud at https://soundcloud.com/user-536209246/aluminum-beach-man-of-stone and https://soundcloud.com/user-536209246/aluminum-beach-aluminum-beach

The Aluminum Beach single you have was not recorded by the Ann Arbor group of that name, but by a guy who went to high school with that group's singer and liked the band's name, and so "borrowed" it. So, musically this recording has no relation to the Ann Arbor people.  The fellow's name was Tony Kunewalder. He died in a fire quite a few years ago.
