Description
This double LP offering is the soundtrack to the movie "American Graffiti". This was a pre-Star Wars George Lucas's second movie and one of his best. It is timeless, great story, great acting and great music.
The jacket is graded a solid Good+. There is ring wear on the front and back of the jacket, please see the pictures. There is also corner, edge and spine wear, after all this is a 45 year-old record. The previous owner also kindly penned their name on each of the labels, thank you "Blair".
The records were cleaned on a Loricraft Audio Professional Record Cleaner and play graded. Despite some surface noise on a couple of the sides run-in grooves, some between song noise due to needle drops, all four sides were surprisingly quiet. Nothing here to detract from the sound of these songs from the earliest days of rock 'n' roll.
Another bonus to this original beauty is the monophonic sound. All four sides and all 41 tracks are released in "glorious mono" so you hear them as they would have sounded through an AM car radio in the early sixties. One more bonus, some of DJ Wolfman Jack's introductions from the movie are preserved before several of the songs. What a tribute to a great DJ. Wolfman Jack and this set of songs are truly one of a kind.
The records ship in new white paper inner sleeves, the original MCA inners are long gone. We include a polyvinyl outer sleeve with each record for additional protection.
Thanks for looking and enjoy the music!
