Description
AMY GRANT LP "A Christmas Album"
Description
Click Image to Enlarge I've placed up for purchase the record "A Christmas Album" released by Amy Grant on Word Records in 1983. In stereo. Length: 37:35, 11 songs. Catalog #MSB 6768. In its original gatefold jacket and sleeve. I've owned this since it came out and have played it probably 3-4 times including today to check its condition. Condition is good, no scuff marks, no skips, or scratches. This has been stored upright in my album rack in my home. I worked in the entertainment business here in Hollywood and got a lot of records. Sometimes duplicates. The jacket is in good condition with slight wear across the top (see gallery image) and bottom. Sleeve inside is in excellent condition with song lyrics on each side. I'm including a 2-page mini bio xeroxed from The Rolling Stone Encyclopedia of Rock & Roll ©2001. This is free. Not part of the listing price. She began her music career in contemporary Christian music before crossing over to pop music in the mid-1980s. Grant has been referred to as "The Queen of Christian Pop". Grant was formerly married to fellow Christian musician Gary Chapman; after their divorce in 1999, she married country music singer Vince Gill in 2000. ... "A Christmas Album" was her fifth studio album and her first Christmas album. The album was recorded in nine studios in mid-1983 and was released later that same year. It was issued on the heels of Grant's immensely successful 1982 LP "Age to Age". "A Christmas Album" features well-known sacred and secular standards alongside original songs. Although not as successful as "Age to Age", "A Christmas Album" still peaked in the Top Ten of the Christian chart and spawned a Top 20 Christian radio single in "Emmanuel." ©Wikipedia If you'd like to listen to this beautiful album before you buy, click here: Go To Youtube
