Up for sale is a Vinyl version of "Compulsion" by Andrew Hill.  Original 1965 US mono pressing on Blue Note Records (BLP 4217).  New York address on label, Van Gelder stamp in dead wax.

Number of records: 1

Record Condition: VG.  Has light surface marks which generally do not affect play.  Small scratch at the beginning of the song, "Compulsion", caused steady clicking for the first 15-20 seconds.  Light crackling during the first third of the track, "Premonition", and a scratch in the last third of the track  produces steady clicking lasting about a 1:45 along with sporadic crackles. 

Sleeve Condition: Prominent storage wear, ring wear.  Fraying along edges and spine, with some heavy wear down to the cardboard along top edge and a 1 3/4" split in top right corner of front cover.  Tips of corners worn.  2 pinholes, probably from a staple, near top left corner of front cover, going through to back cover. 

Everyone has a different set of grading criteria... So, to avoid any confusion, here's ours!

I do not tend to describe/grade the label on my records unless there is some obvious flaw... so if the label condition is important to you please ask me and I will let you know its condition!

Sealed: Only used for sealed records... Sealed records are assumed to be mint but, since they're sealed, I can't tell the condition for sure! It is good practice to guess the condition to be Near Mint.
Near Mint: Not perfect, but darn close! A very minor scuff and very little else can appear on the vinyl. This will most likely have occurred during packaging, or removing the record from the inner sleeve. Has been handled with extreme care. It should play without any noise over the flaw. The flaw should be very hard to see.
VG+: VG+ records may show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Slight warps that don’t affect the sound are OK.
VG: Light scratches, slight background noise possible. When played, a VG record has surface noise, and some scratches may be audible, especially in soft passages and during a song’s intro and ending. But the noise won’t overpower the music otherwise.

Good: Record plays without skipping but does have surface noise. Scratches, scuffs and groove wear all possible on this condition.

Included with each record is a new plastic sleeve to keep your artwork safe!
