Description
This is the rare original Van Gelder-stamped mono “P”-pressing of Andrew Hill “Black Fire” on the New York USA labels of Blue Note BLP 4151; Side 1 has a deep groove, previously undocumented in the “Guide for Identifying Original Pressings”. The playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The coated New York 23 cover has a discoloration on the left edge of the back slick and tape stains around all edges, but no tape on the seams – they are all in excellent condition. Blue Note inner sleeve is included. Personnel include Joe Henderson, Richard Davis, and Roy Haynes. $400.00.
