Up for auction is the Bringing it Together Like Pangea 12" vinyl compilation that has been autographed by every participant on this compilation. This compilation reaffirms the idea of local music community, and what that looks like. It seeks to establish who the new and important creators will be in this decade. This isn't a wishy-washy easy to digest mix or tired bar bands or weepy folk guitar strummers. "BRINGING IT TOGETHER LIKE PANGEA!" dares to plant a flag for the future, with a cross section of underground bands, and just ready to break new creators, a cross section of favorites from Arizona and California.
Styles whiplash from confrontational alt. folk, to videogame inspired progressive rock, outsider hiphop from the worlds oldest gay/Canadian rapper, harmonically beautiful pop music, and everything in between. The styles and combinations are endless! This compilation features Andrew Jackson Jihad, Hawnay Troof featuring Randy Randall & Ben Butler, Captain Ahab, Minibosses, Treasure Mammal, Ezra Buchla/ Corey Fogel, Whitman, Andrew Tholl, Inland Empire, Roar, Space Alien Donald, Heaven (Wavves side project), Essay, and Father's Day.
This record is on mixed vinyl (so each of them are different) and the jackets are hand printed.
