Description

This is the original and very rare vinyl from 1969 on CBS No. 63673.

Love And Poetry is a highly-rated psychedelic album, which featured guest artist Bob Downes playing sax, flute etc. All the songs were written by Dave Lewis. It is an eclectic affair that touches upon a number of approaches-heavy progressive rock-tinged psychedelia with keyboards, fruity pop-psych with strings and fairytale-type lyrics, folk- and blues-informed material bridging psych and prog-common to British rock of the period.

Tracks:

  • The Days Grew Longer for Love
  • Sunday
  • Lost a Number found a king
  • Man Without a Name C
  • lockwork Man
  • Cocaine
  • Shades of Grey
  • High on a Mountain
  • Andwella
  • Midday Sun
  • Take me Road
  • Felix
  • Goodbye

The Cover

The condition of the cover is very good to excellent with very small damage where the white card can be seen in the photograph in the bottom right hand corner. There is also a small lift of the surface picture in the same corner. The white in the top right hand corner is camera flash reflection.

The Record

Side 1 is very good to excellent, Side 2 is very good. There are numerous surface scratches but no obvious scratches that affect the sound.

I believe I have been conservative and very self critical about the condition as I do not want to disappoint the buyer.
