The label is in Near Mint Condition with a "Rated X" hand written on the label.
The Gradings System is:
Mint Condition. Mint- Condition. Near Mint Condition. Excellent Condition. Very Good or Better Condition. Very Good Condition. Good Condition. Fair Condition.
If Mentioned:
Surface marks are very light, on top of the surface, not affecting play.
Surface Scratches are light on top of the grooves somewhat akin to surface scuffs/surface marks, may have slight very secondary light under the music sounds, scratch ticks.
Light Scratches are on or just at the surface, not causing skips, may have some slight light under the music sounds, slight extraneous on the audio sounds / possible secondary to the music quiet pops or quiet light ticks.
Near The Groove / Deep Scratches are a bit more than Light Scratches - the record plays with no skipping, may possibly have some in the groove sounds/possible slight ticks/pops or some on the groove sounds - usually plays clear, bright and present. These are generally Good, Very Good or Excellent graded records.
An important note:
It is rare when I state a record being Mint although there are certain instances where they will be noted as 'Mint- or better' and sometimes 'in-between Mint- up to Mint'.
I usually don't list Fair Condition records except in a very unusual circumstance, essentially for its' collectible interest.
Records are at times graded visually.
Surface distractions are noted on visual gradings and groove distractions on listened gradings.
You can utilize the 'Zoom' or 'Enlarge' button under the label image to see a close-up of sections or the entire record label
Record playback quality will be highly influenced by type of turntable, cartridge and tracking force used.
For best listening results upon purchase, it's best to play a Mono record in the Mono mode, and a Stereo recording in the Stereo mode.
See below, after vintage record pressings information, for the type of shipping and the shipping fee if a record sells for $125.00 or more.
A note of interest about vintage record pressings in general.
Many of the records offered are from 30 to 50 years old. They are are not digital downloads.
Every single plays differently on each different turntable. Some records come with their own inherent pressing oddities, slight sounds, and to the modern ear, possible "slight flaws" - which are not really flaws, but part of the pressing process of older, real vinyl / wax / plastic records.
Some turntables / tone arm weight bring out under the music groove sounds, others may not bring out under the music sounds, or may be heard to a lesser degree.
In some instances, just plain age can cause some slight noises in a record.
Some pressings of small labels from the 1950's and 1960's and some instances 70's pressings were made with not the greatest of ingredients, and with these lower grade or inferior ingredients causing some under the music groove sound - this generally happened with small label pressings, yet the music is clear, loud, and present. Also, depending on the label, some of these smaller label pressings were pressed at cheapie pressing plants or at a big plant, but on the sly late at night without the quality control of the normal commissioned pressing.
There may be slight tape hissing audible, which can be part of the recording/pressing - as per example, on some early Motown records.
(NOTE: If you notice the lashmi name on the image, it is just super-imposed over the on-line image, it is not on the ACTUAL label - thanks).
