Ernest Ansermet-The Mono London/Decca recordings (Close to being complete)
Last month I sold a package just like this one. Since then I found two boxes filled with my other Ansermet LPS that I forgot about. I have assembled a package just as attractive and sold that. This is what is left. I am afraid this is the last of them as I don't except to find other boxes.

This MY personal collection. It is the fruits of a wonderful disease called "Ansermetnia" which I caught in the late 70s. From the very first recording I heard, I knew I had to have every recording the Great Swiss Maestro made. I went to every record store, thrift shop, book store, etc, in Manhattan. I got every mail order catalogue listing in the classifieds on the magazines.. But now it is time to pass on these classics to someone else. I have transferred them to digital and stored them on DVD-rs. I need the space and the money. . I am only keeping the few duplicates and offering the top condition lp of the ones I have duplicates of in this package. As Time-Life says, you will spend years (As I have) finding a copy of each one of these lps. Be the beneficiary of my very hard work in collecting these classic recordings
Most of these recordings I do not have duplicates of as the are very hard to find. In addition, I do not think Maestro Ansermet would be happy with the equalization given to those that have made it to cd. The boosted bass and midrange given to the cds tend to blur and cover the detail he worked so hard to get.
None of the lps have any major flaws. I paid very high for most of them. If there are no scratches or scuffs I listed it as excellent. For a collection some 50 years old the condition is quite nice. The jackets all have very good to excellent artwork. However cardboard tends to deteriorate in 50 to 60 years and some are split. I listed them as such and will provide an lp bag to keep the jacket and lps safe.
Recommendation- Vinyl is vinyl, and even new lps need to be declicked. I user Magix Audio Cleaning Lab 15. It works wonders and is very cheap. Version 16 took away features such as the external editor. They may be up to version 17 or 18 now. You may be able to get version 15 very very cheap on Ebay.
Bonus
In the early 80s I wrote to the Suisse Romande for a detailed discography. Which recording of The 4 La Valses is which etc. They were so embarrassed that they did not know that they contacted Decca in England and had them send me the official File Cards for Ansermet's recordings. An example is below. I have scanned them and made two pdf files. One of 58 pages listing the dates and matrices and one of 78 pages with the catalogue numbers of the lps release and deletion dates. I sold a few of the PDF fiile sets CDr-Roms on Ebay for 50 dollars. It is included in this auction

Real Mono mixes
According to Mike Gray's Discogrpahy of Decca/London Records, when they started recording in stereo in May 1954, they still sent the usual mono crew and microphone setup and tape decks and electronics until 1962. After that they just recorded in stereo and folded both channels into a mono mix.
But here we have 11 lps of REAL mono mixes. Taken from the alternate crew's work. It gives a different perspective of the great work of Maestro Ansermet of the performances we are used to hearing from the work of the stereo crew
These records are very hard to find today. They are from my 30 years of collecting Ansermet.
