A rare chance to own one of the most sought after audiophile LP's without having to endure bidding on an auction. Long out of print. This is the 2 LP 180 gram edition that Classic Records issued around 1994 and it is really in like new condition. This set is beautifully done from the cover to the 24 page booklet inside. Mastered by Bernie Grundman from the original master tapes this is one of the best sounding and dynamic records of any genre in my opinion. Some people prefer this version over the original RCA issue with a deeper bottom end and wider dynamic range than the ultra pricey original. You can easily pay 2, 3 or 4 times my asking price for a sealed copy of the Classic version or an original that who knows what it was played on. I am a former Classic Records dealer and I received this as a freebie (see "Compliments of Classic Records" sticker on the plastic sleeve) when this was first released (so this is a early "hot off the press" pressing). I cleaned it on my VPI machine and played it maybe two or three times on a VPI / Benz combo 'table and stored it for many years. The vinyl plays Near Mint with no flaws of any kind. The cover is equally nice...like new except for a very tiny barely noticeable 1/4 tear on the yellow front cover past over near the bottom right corner. This kind of thing is unavoidable as "things happen" during shipping and storage (even sealed copies can have flaws). Look real close in the photo (hard to see). Yes, the price is high but it may not be around long. I highly recommend the buyer (if in the USA) not use Media Mail but to go for the Priority Mail rate where the treatment it receives is much better and faster. Pretty heavy set with the 2 180 gram records with a heavy cover and booklet so the Air Mail rates are up there. Shipping is my actual cost. Only one copy and when it is gone you are on your own. Disclaimer: RCA was placed in the title to help eBayers with search results but this is NOT an original RCA pressing but the Classic Records super high quality all analogue pressing from around 1994. What is not to like? Check my 100 % positive feedback for great service and strict play grading of high quality vinyl. This has been cleaned on a pro VPI 17F record cleaning machine which vastly lowers the noise floor and improves the sound of any record dramatically. While eBay requires us to post Media Mail at $4, I highly encourage any US buyer to pay $8.50 extra and use Priority Mail as it is a much faster service and the records get much better treatment during shipping. Media Mail can also be very slow at times (up to two weeks) while Priority Mail is 2-3 days anywhere in the US. No hassle return policy.
