Antique 1909 THE TWIN 78 rpm Record TEN LITTLE NI**ER BOYS
This is a pretty unusual, if politically incorrect, 78 rpm record titled “Ten Little Ni**er Boys” by Alfred Woods. I've had to alter the word in order to conform to eBay rules regarding the use of offensive language. The other side is titled “Keep in the Middle of the Road” by Charles Handy. The record is on “The Twin” label, which was merged with the Zonophone label in 1911. The label is stamped “Made in Germany”. Records show that this record was released in 1909. Alfred Woods was a name used by singer/musician Stewart Gardner while Charles Handy was a name used by versatile singer Peter Dawson, who had careers both in the classical/opera world and popular world. The record measures 10” and is not in great condition - there are scratches on both sides and a chip on the edge of the Ten Little Ni**er Boys side (see last close-up photo). My understanding is that 78 records are more forgiving of scratches, but there is a long deep one on the Keep in the Middle of the Road side. In any case, I think that the Ten Little Ni**er Boys side should be playable, but no guarantees on sound quality. Despite condition, a rare and collectible record ......

Our auctions end on Sunday evening, so I will be in touch with the correct invoice by Monday afternoon, after we have had the chance to carefully package your item.

I am now shipping to my US clients through USPS services. I am located in Canada but I now have a carrier service to bring my parcels directly across the border on Thursdays to be shipped out of the USPS postal outlet in Champlain, N.Y. In addition to the actual shipping cost, I do charge a $3.00 handling fee to cover the cost of this special US service. Please note that even with the handling fee that it is less expensive and is a quicker service than using Canada Post. If you wish your item to be shipped by USPS in the same week, I would require your paypal payment by Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.

PLEASE NOTE: For items which sell over $200.00, I must ship to my U.S. clients using Canada Post, this is due to customs regulations.

To my Canadian clients, I use Canada Post for shipping, as I am based in Canada - legally, I am not permitted to ship to you through the US, so do not rely on the US shipping calculator for costs.

To my International clients I can ship by either Canada Post or by USPS (in order to use USPS for intl. clients - the items must sell for under $200.00).

I would request any client to get in touch with me upon winning an item, who is NOT able to pay by Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, so I can get an idea of when to expect your payment.
