Antonio Carlos Jobim - Stone Flower
(Philips 6308 031 UK LP 1970)
This is a 1970 UK 1st pressing LP. It has a heavyweight fully laminated sleeve. It comes with its original generic polythene lined company paper inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has black and silver 'Philips' labels. The record has 1st press 6308031 1Y#-1 and 6308031 2Y#-1 matrix numbers. These are machine stamped in the dead wax. A great early 1970's Latin Jazz/ Samba/ Bossa Nova LP. Quite hard to find as a UK 1st pressing on the "Philips" label. This LP is considered to be one of his best,
Sleeve: There is some light, mild or very mild rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is a tiny 0.5 cm hairline tear on the rear sleeve opening edge. This is near the bottom. There is some light, mild or very mild hairline rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on some areas. This hardly really notices. There is some light or very mild fading, to a varying degree, to the white areas of the sleeve. There are a couple of small hairline creases at the spine area. These have left a hairline crease on the spine face. Otherwise, the spine is in excellent condition. There is some light, very mild or very minor ringwear on some areas. Overall, this sleeve is in Very Good+ condition
Vinyl: There are 5 light, mild or very mild hairline surface marks on Side 1. These measure from 1 cm to 3 cm in length. There is a mild 1.5 cm hairline surface mark on Side 2. Otherwise, there are some light, mild, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs which can hardly be seen under a strong light. Overall, the vinyl is in Very Good+ condition. The labels are in Excellent condition & show light or very mild spindle wear only.
The original polythene-lined company paper inner sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good to Very Good+ overall & Near Excellent in many places. There is some light, mild, very mild or very minor crackle in some quieter places. There are a few intermittent light or very mild clicks at the start of one track on Side 1. There are three mild, or very mild, clicks on one track on Side 2. Overall, a very decent audio copy.
