Description
Aphex Twin Analord all vinyl with original Limited Edition faux leather binder.
Condition From a pet and smoke free home, near mint condition. Never dj'd with, never played out, most but not all records played, and those that I did play, only played with new needles at most twice. The rest of the time, in the anti-static sleeves.
I entered the Analord 10 lottery and "won" one of the original limited edition binders (pictured) along with the Analord 10 vinyl (side B in the last image, and side A in the penultimate image, right hand side). This was re-released as the famous Aphex logo picture disc which completed this collection.
All records bought on 1st release, only owned by me - one very careful owner.
Full disclosure about the cover's VG+ rating - 2 things to note:
- There's a small white stain on the cover inside the logo (pictured) and while I reckon it could be cleaned off carefully (the cover is faux leather, after all) I decided not to risk it and leave it to this record's next custodian.
- The inner sleeves are turned up at the edges - this is because a wedge was pushing up the corners. I've included independent anti-static sleeves because, if you want to correct this, you can remove the vinyl into the anti-static sleeves and put a weight on the inner sleeves while they're flat with no records in. This will straighten them out again, I've done it with a couple of Faith No More polythene picture disc sleeves.
- These factors are reflected in the VG+ rating for the cover See screenshot image from Discogs for how much a near mint cover costs you.
What do I get? The complete and original 1st and only pressing of Analord, complete with limited edition binder, and all the original inner covers which you'll notice are individually embossed in the corner with the Aphex logo (pictured).
The vinyl is 180g and I calculated that with all the records in and the binder included, the weight of the album is over 2kg, making this the heaviest album I've ever owned - literally.
Figuratively speaking it is a heavy album that's been beautifully mastered onto vinyl so if you are inclined to buy this to listen to, you won't be disappointed. What I did listen to is characterised by a tight and loud dynamic range - it's punchier on vinyl than digital.
Why are you selling? I never listen to these records, and I only really buy records to listen to... so this needs to go to a collector or someone with more balls than me that wants to really enjoy the listening experience.
I came close to selling this a couple of years after I bought it when the prices went crazy, but couldn't quite bring myself to part with it... just in case I ever wanted to drop the hammer and listen to it LOTS.
I can't bring myself to do that, so if you want to hear the fresh vinyl for yourself - here's your chance. It's beautiful - you won't be disappointed. And when people are looking through your shelf - it's wonderful to see the look on their faces when they realise what you've got.
This record needs to go to someone who'll love the magic of having this in their arsenal. It's something special.
Any questions before purchasing, please send me a message.
What if something goes wrong? I add this section due to a recent experience with a buyer where a unit I sent them arrived damaged. It's supposed to cover studio equipment which is what I usually sell, but much of the same applies to this package. Please note:
- I do not post items that are damaged or not as described.
- Please don't panic if it arrives damaged - we can work it out.
- My 100% rating is valuable to me and I want to keep it (please check out my feedback).
- I don't accept returns for buyers remorse or damage which happens post-delivery.
- I appreciate you're spending a lot of money so, again, please don't panic if there's damage!
- PLEASE DO NOT open a dispute BEFORE you've chatted to me on eBay. I want you to end the transaction feeling good about your purchase. In the extremely unlikely event the item is damaged when it arrives, you can pay for the return mail to me and I will reimburse you once I've checked over the item and confirmed it's broken.
- Opening disputes too early can lead to a delay in you getting your money back, not through any fault of my own - note that if you don't get your money back, the money doesn't arrive with me either. It's quicker to chat and agree for me to manually return without the involvement of 3rd parties. Credit card companies offer GREAT protection - but not necessarily great or speedy service... whereas I do! :)
- Please remember that you RESERVE YOUR RIGHT to open a dispute if you're unhappy with my behaviour. This is about making sure you get your money back as quickly as possible.
- Given my 100% record with buyers, please note that the previous dispute was settled amicably and the buyer was happy to give me a good review, dispite not getting the working unit he hoped for. I made it up to him.
