Description
This double LP on Elektra K 62025 comes with picture inners and a cinema booklet from 1979 when the film was first released in Britain and shown in Leicester Square, London. Apart from the occasional crackle audible in quiet sections, the records play very well, the inner sleeves are very good as is the outer gatefold. There is only very limited shelf wear.
The inners and the gatefold hold information on the film and this is supplemented by the 14 page booklet with complete film credits, information on the filming and problems encountered and numerous photos, along with mini biographies on almost 30 key personnel including Marlon Brando, Robert Duvall, Martin Sheen and Francis Coppola.
The music features The Doors, Dale Hawkins, original material by Carmine and Francis Coppola - with musicians including members of the Grateful Dead - and of course the extremely haunting Ride of the Valkyries. Considerable sections of dialogue and field recordings are scattered across the records, bringing to life the dark and eerie atmosphere that pervades the film.
The album will be sent in a sturdy purpose made LP mailer, the vinyl will be inside the inner sleeves but separate to the outer sleeve to avoid damage from movement in transit, with an additional card strengthener for added protection.
Payment by Paypal only and UK bidders only please.
