Description

This is part of a big auction of 45's from several small 1950's labels that I'm running this week. Take a look at these and keep an eye out for an all-rockabilly auction starting 9/25 and an all Los Angeles label auction (Modern/RPM/Imperial, etc.) in October

Release: The 5 Royales & Orchestra - You Know I Know / Courage to Love

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1952


Notes: First single released by one of the more prolific Apollo acts and one of two pressed on translucent Red vinyl. This one is much more R&B than doo-wop unlike their subsequent music.

Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in great shape with just a couple of really tiny marks, almost no wear at all. Both sides play very well with almost no background noise at all. No pops/ticks/skips, etc. Labels are pretty good, but do have some moderate ring scuffing - no marks or tears.  See pics, but this is a pretty nice copy overall, despite the label wear I think this one just jumps over that VG+ bar.
