Truly Badass Garage UK Psych Record from The Apple "An Apple A Day" LP. This is a Reissue on the Acme Label (Deluxe Series, Limited Pressing)
The Cover is VG+, just slight wear, Looks Great (see pictures). Vinyl is VG+ overall (Looks and plays Clean), there is a mild 1" scuff between the ending of "Psycho Dasies" & "Sporting Life." I listened to it with my headphones and only heard some light surface noise about 15 seconds into "Sporting Life" -pretty minor..
As you may know, this is quite a Good album, chalked all the bits that make for exciting UK Psych -they do a Great version of the Yardbirds' "Psycho Daisies" and some songs from this LP have been comped on Rubbles and the Chocolate Soup For Diabetics series. "Buffalo Billycan" has a cool Beatles feel, "Doctor Rock" is pure danceable Freak-Beat, and "Otherside" is a personal minor-key favorite. Here's a review from Psyche Out Lost In Time site:
Apple was a British psychedelic rock band. The band was founded in Cardiff in 1968 by Rob Ingram (guitar) and Jeff Harrad (Bass). They've released a single LP in 1969, titled An Apple A Day. The album was a commercial failure, and the band ceased to exist shortly after its release. However, during the subsequent years several tracks from the LP (most notably The Otherside(Harrad)) were dubbed classics of British psychedelic rock by critics, making An Apple A Day one of the most sought-after British psychedelic rarities.
