Description
VERY RARE Original US 7" 1972 PROMO radio only advertisements for the Apple/20th Century Fox film "The Concert For Bangla Desh". The label is Mint- (no markings). Vinyl is Mint-.
The one-sided record contains 4 radio advertising spots of 60 seconds and 30 seconds in length. There is an announcer and background music from the concert that includes small bits of music from George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Leon Russell, Ringo Starr plus others. "The Concert for Bangla Desh" featured these greats as well as other greats including Billy Preston, Badfinger, Ravi Shankar, Klaus Voorman, and Eric Clapton.
This issue was limited more than the already limited pressing of promotional records. Apparently these ads were aimed more for college radio station markets to promote the concert movie. WC-791-B is etched in the matrix. Plays at 33 rpm, but not continually--each track would be selected by the DJ without it running into another spot.
