Description
I acquired this lot of promo records in a local auction. I was told the records came from a country music station in western Minnesota. I have also seen evidence that some of the records could have been in a jukebox. I have glanced through a couple hundred of the records and there are many by artists I have never heard of along with some by better known country artists (although I am not a country music fan so maybe there are more by well known artists than I think). The dates of the records vary significantly as I saw dates from the late 60's to early 90's. I would say the majority of them are from the 1970's and 1980's. The condition of the records also vary widely. The condition ranges from almost new to not so great (probably dependent upon the popularity of the song and air time). There are some records that have no sleeves or others where the sleeves are not in the greatest condition with folds, rips or edges blown out. Some of the sleeves look fine. Some of the records have writing or stickers on them while the majority do not. I have seen references to DJ Copy, Promo or Promotional Record, Not for Resale on almost all of the records I looked at but according to the auction description where I acquired them, there may be some regular records included. I will ship the records in multiple boxes after I get the chance to repackage them in better boxes. I am offering free shipping but have adjusted the starting price of the auction upward to approximate the estimated $125 of shipping cost I will incur for shipping five or so boxes when I am done. They will be shipped pretty much as shown as it is impossible to ship them differently due to the quantity. This is purely a treasure hunt as there could be some records worth tens of dollars while others could be worth less than a buck. Figure out an average and do the math to determine what you want to bid.
