Description

Extremely rare original 1969 Australian pressing of Arcadium – Breathe Awhile on Astor.

A legendary late-1960s British psychedelic/progressive rock album, filled with heavy organ, fuzz guitar, extended compositions and dark atmospheric passages. Breathe Awhile has long been regarded as one of the great underground UK psych/prog rarities of the era.

This Australian Astor SPLP 1313 edition is exceptionally scarce — considerably harder to find than the already rare UK Middle Earth pressing. Only a tiny number of copies appear to have survived, and examples very rarely come onto the market.

The Astor pressing is also particularly prized for its excellent sound quality, with a powerful, clear and dynamic presentation. It has a strong reputation among collectors as arguably the best-sounding original vinyl pressing of the album.

A major rarity and one of the most difficult original variants of Breathe Awhile to find.

Very nice, clean copy with only light signs of use. Plays beautifully overall. There are a few faint static sounds during the opening, but otherwise playback is excellent, clear and very enjoyable throughout.

Cover: VG+
Very attractive original laminated cover presenting extremely well. Light wear to the front and some wear along the top edge, but overall a remarkably nice example of this exceptionally scarce sleeve.
