Symphony for the Madman (5 tracks)

  DESCRIPTION  

This 10 inch acetate is a unique private recording, most likely post-Arcadium with Miguel Sergides' distinct vocals.  It is entirely acoustic with a full sound, guitars, violin, bass, flutes and full harmony vocals.  I allowed David Wells of Wooden Hill studios to listen to the full acetate and he confirms the above likelihood of this being a Miguel Sergides post Arcadium project around 1970.

However, it is also possible (and judging by the age of the acetate) that this is a pre-Arcadium project, especially given that 'Riding Alone' appears in pre-electric form here.

The acetate is in very good condition and plays excellently without fault throughout, just the usually pops and crackle that can be expected from acetate.

Record Grading

 

ALL VINYL GRADED AS PER ( RECORD COLLECTOR'S GRADING SYSTEM).

MINT :  The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet,booklet or posterare in perfect condition.Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be mint.

EXCELLENT : The record shows some signs of having been played,but there is very little lessening in sound quality.The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD :  The record has obvisouly been played,but displays no major deterioration in sound quality,despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items,without any major defects,is acceptable.

GOOD :  The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated ,perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges,spine splits,discoloration,etc.

FAIR :  The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise;it may even jump.The cover and contents will be torn,stained and / or defaced.
