You are bidding on a Vinyl issue of Aretha Franklin’s 1968 album, “Aretha Now.” This classic album was originally released in 1968 on the Atlantic label, and the item for sale is the original release. (Atlantic SD-8186)
We actually purchased this item decades ago, played it (and enjoyed it!), and it has been sitting in our home (vertically) for the last few decades.
The LP is in excellent condition; comes with the original Atlantic inner sleeve advertising other current Atlantic Releases. There is slight wear around the LP cover corners, but the LP cover is otherwise in very nice condition. Please remember that this album was well taken care of, but it was played as part of our record collection decades ago.
This LP contains at least two big hits; “Think,” and “Say A Little Prayer.” This album was recorded in New York, but several of the Muscle Shoals players participated, along with Tom Dowd.
This item has been stored at room temperature, in a smoke free home. Please see photos of actual item being sold.

“Though a bit short on running time at ten songs, this still caught Aretha Franklin at the peak of her early form. "Think," "I Say a Little Prayer," "See Saw," and "I Can't See Myself Leaving You" were all big hits. Her choice of cover material included some of her most R&B-drenched early Atlantic cuts, like "Night Time Is the Right Time," "You Send Me," and "I Take What I Want."
