Summary: Classic 68 album from the queen of soul, Aretha Franklin. Nice all-round album with no major issues – not bad for a 68 issue. Vinyl in nice condition with clean audio – no pips or pops, sticks or skips. First press A1/B1 UK stereo. Sleeve graded VG+
Sleeve: Laminated front Ernest J Day sleeve. No rips, splits or unwanted graffiti. Original ‘99p’ sticker! Readable spine, top and bottom edges remain clean (no shelf rub), very light rub on corners and opening edge only, light creasing. Non-laminated rear shows light age related handling. All-round pretty good for a 68 copy - well looked after (see photos for clarification) graded solid VG+
Labels: Classic Atlantic Red/Plum label in decent condition. No writing, marks, rips or splits, some spindle lines VG+ towards EX-
Vinyl: Retains its sheen under normal light. Closer inspection under a bright light reveals light hairlines and feint lines from sleeve removal, 3 scuffs S1 and S2 although nothing that affects play whatsoever. Strong VG+ or EX- depending on how strict you are (see photos).
Audio: Plays through clean, no pips, pops, clicks, jumps, sticks or dust crackle, graded EX (played on a Project carbon - blue 2M Ortofon)

I have been a collector for 47+ years buying and selling records over the years to feed my changing music habits. The few records I sell are either the results of upgrades, duplicates or a bit of thinning every now and again as this is. If anything is not as expected, please contact me straight away and I will do everything to resolve any problems without argument.
I strictly adhere to the Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide using one + or - as an additional guide:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
