Armageddon.
1975 UK pressed A&M Records stereo LP, AMLH 64513. Early issue A2/B1 matrices.
Vinyl in very near mint condition. Just a very few spider trace marks visible at centre spindle areas. Surfaces have a rich and bright gloss and are free of any marks. Clearly a lightly and very carefully played LP.
Playback is superb throughout. Noise free from beginning to end , and a bright and full-blooded recording.
Sleeve also in top grade condition. An unlaminated sleeve very prone to wear, this one has survived in unusually clean and bright condition, and has been stored in a protective poly outer. There are not even the usual light hairlines visible to the surfaces. Edges and tips have also survived extremely well. The spine, which is pinched at top and bottom, is in immaculate condition. There are no white chipping marks along the edges. The tips have just the merest touches of whitening, extremely minor. There are just two or three of the lightest and tiniest pinch line creases emanating from the spine areas onto front and rear panels, but again, this is extremely minor. The top right corner of the front panel has a speck of a white dot from sticker removal, but this really is a speck. Note that it appears in a slightly larger semi-rectangular shape which forms part of the design of the sleeve, and could at first glance be mistaken for a sticker mark. If you inspect the rectangular area closely a small white dot can be made out, which is the actual area of loss.
Inne sleeve is plain white paper.
All in all about as good a copy as you'll find of this LP, definitely a keeper.

Armageddon:A superb "lost" hard psych LP from a band comprising remnants of Steamhammer with the powerhouse drumming of Bobby Caldwell (Captain Beyond) and vocal talents of Keith Relf (Yardbirds).
This was to be their only release. Due to ill-health Relf returned to England shortly after this was released and died shortly after, when he was electrocuted while playing guitar.
