Super rare copy of Arnoldo Medeiros only Brazilian solo LP.

Arnold Medeiros - O Homem e O Poeta - RCA Camden 107 0221 Stereo Dynaflex Brazil 1975

Recorded for RCA in 1975 with a sound like Marcos Valle and Osmar Milito (and produced by Osmar's brother Helcio), Arnoldo was responsible for co-writing tracks with Dom Salvador, Wilson Simonal, Erlon Chaves and many others.

His songs were recorded by a very long list of the top singers in Brasil from the late 60s onwards, but this incredibly rare LP is the only time he made a recording under his own name before moving to the USA where he lived until a couple of years ago. Classic brasilian bossa nova meets samba soul with telenovela soundtracks. Collectors of Brasilian LPs know that this is one of the rarest LPs of all Brazilian 70s funky bossa LPs.

This copy is MINT MINT MINT. How come? Well Arnoldo gave me this copy himself from the few copies he had left when he made the album in 1975!! It's only been played a couple of times since and on a very high end turntable.

That is real provenance!

The LP was produced by Tamba Trio leader Helcio Milito and features all of the Tamba guys at their funkiest 70s phase:
