Description

JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH - Brandenburg Concertos 4 & 5 - performed by ARS MUSICA directed by Lyndon Lawless - released in 1981 on Timegate - CATALOGUE # TG 234 .

This Audiophile lp features ARS MUSICA performing Bach's Brandenburg Concertos 4 & 5 .

This lp was produced for demonstration by Timegate (DCM ) in 1981 and has been described as, " The Finest Chamber Music Recording Ever Made " .  I've seen reports saying that only between 1,000 to 2,000 pressings were made.  Some of the personnel involved were:   Mark Levinson ( who provided most of the recording equipment ), Engineer Peter McGrath ( who did the recording ) and Bob Ludwig at Masterdisk ( Mastering) .  The pressing was done by Europadisc on the finest Teldec vinyl.  (Most of this information comes from the back of the cover/sleeve.)

Vinyl is near mint . Labels are near mint . Cover is VG+ .

Please email us if you would like to have additional pictures sent to you.  We take a lot of pictures of the lps we list but do not include them on the listing due to cost.

Unless stated otherwise, vinyl has been graded visually.  Thank you for looking and good luck bidding!

We encourage questions but please ask all questions prior to bidding.

Grading

VINYL/LP/RECORD:

Sealed

Near Mint (NM) Our highest grade for an opened LP.  A nearly perfect record.

Very Good Plus (VG+)  Previous owner took good care of the LP but there are some signs that it was played and handled.  The vinyl surfaces will show some signs of wear - slight scuffs or very light scratches) .  Some surface noise may be present .

Very Good (VG)   The same defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced.  Surface noise will probably be evident , especially in quiet passages or during a song's intro and fade .

I will not list an LP that I grade below VG.

COVER/SLEEVE:

Sealed

Near Mint (NM) Our highest grade for an opened LP.  A nearly perfect cover.

Very Good Plus (VG+)  Previous owner took good care of the cover but there are some signs that it was handled.

Very Good (VG)   The same defects found in a VG+ sleeve will be more pronounced.

For covers , anything below VG is poor and will have very significant wear, damage, etc.  I will list lps with covers that are poor provided that the vinyl is VG or better.

Payment
