Description
This is an auction of a VERY RARE Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers - A Night at Cafe Bohemia with the Jazz Messengers Vol.1 - Blue Note 1507. Engineered by Rudy Van Gelder - has "RVG & an "EAR" stamped in the trailoff deadwax on both sides. RARE ORIGINAL 1st pressing with 167 Lexington Ave DG deep groove labels both sides and flat edge and no 'R' below the Blue Note logo LP. See my other Jazz LPs by Art Blakey, Wynton Kelly, Charles Mingus and Gigi Gryce and Donald Byrd, and many others this week - all with NO reserve prices.
Record is visually graded VG++ with a few light marks - PLAY GRADES MINT-, cover is VG+ with slight ring and edge wear, front has yellowed tape at bottom seam where there is also a 3" split at lower right, back 2 small spots of tape residue at bottom, old price sticker residue at upper left, and some small fraying/tears on the back slick at the right edge.
