Description
Full title is “Meet You At The Jazz Corner of the World Vol. 1”. Blue Note 4054. Both labels have the address 47 West 63rd. NYC. The record has the “ear” and “RVG” inscribed in the dead wax. Recorded at Birdland, 1960. There are 4 tracks plus “The Theme” which was a trademark “tag” for the Jazz Messengers and is not a separate track. Lee Morgan, trumpet; Wayne Shorter, tenor sax; Bobby Timmons, piano; Jymie Merritt, bass. Cover: VG+. 2” split at the top edge; 1” split at the bottom edge. Both at the insert edge. Some edge and corner wear. Some light aging, mostly on the back cover. A relatively small light stain near the upper margin of the back cover. This is transparent. Record: VG to VG+. Record shows moderate wear with a considerable number of light brush-like surface “rub” marks. This results in some surface noise throughout. Some is not noticeable as it is obscured by the intensity of the playing. In many places, the clicks and crackles are audible. Audibly checked.
