Description

Art Blakey, Coleman Hawkins, John Coltrane, Gigi Gryce Blues for Tomorrow Riverside 12-243 MONO deep groove mike and reel original pressing from 1957. Legend has it that the title tune, Blues For Tomorrow got started because the date was a Thelonious Monk date but at the recording session, Mon had to use the restroom and Blakey got restless and started tapping his drums and Gryce and the boys just started wailing and the title tune came to being. Monk was very surprised when he came back to the studio and this date was supposed to be his, but he graciously gave it up so this LP could be released. VG+ clean LO and well-kept and a VG+ cover.
