Be sure to look at my other auctions!  I have many great titles for sale this week.
Artist: Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers
Title: The Big Beat
Label: Blue Note 4029
Mono/Stereo: mono
Details:  First pressing from 1960, and unbelievably clean! West 63rd labels, deep groove, RVG, Ear. This even has the original blank inner sleeve it came in, and looks practically untouched! Ultrasonic cleaned.

Record grading: NM-. Absolutely marvelous! Could probably just call this NM, but there are a couple very slight sleeve wisps. Vinyl is glossy and incredibly clean for its age, nearly spotless. Play graded in full at NM. I didn’t hear a tick from begging to end, even between tracks. One of the finest copies you’ll ever find!

Cover grading: NM-. Unbelievably clean. There’s a small amount of laminate wear along opening edge on front, otherwise this looks freshly minted. The back looks like it’s been handled with gloves, the seams are perfect, and front is immaculate aside from the mentioned laminate wear. One of the cleanest sets you’ll ever see available!

Labels: See photos

Record Grading Scale:

M-  ESSENTIALLY A BRAND NEW RECORD, BUT HAS BEEN OPENED.

NM THE RECORD IS IMMACULATE, NEARLY PERFECT WITH THE SURFACE RETAINING FULL GLOSS AND NO SURFACE SCRATCHES

NM- THE RECORD SURFACE RETAINS A HIGH GLOSS, PERHAPS ONE OR TWO EXTREMELY FAINT MARKS, STILL EXTREMELY CLEAN

EX   ESSENTIALLY A NM- SOUNDING COPY, BUT MIGHT SHOW A SMALL NUMBER OF VERY FINE SURFACE MARKS.  STILL VERY CLEAN VISUALLY AND DYNAMIC AUDIBLY.

VG++ THE RECORD RETAINS MUCH OF ITS ORIGINAL SHINE, FEW LIGHT SURFACE MARKS AND OR LIGHT SCRATCHES MAY BE NOTED ON FAIRLY CLOSE EXAMINATION

VG+ THE RECORD STILL RETAINS SOME SHINE, SURFACE MARKS & SCRATCHES MAY OCCUR BUT ARE LIMITED AND TEND TO BE MODERATE TO LIGHT.  RECORD WILL PLAY VERY WELL WITH VERY LIGHT SURFACE NOISE MOSTLY HEARD DURING A QUIET PASSAGE.

VG  AVERAGE USED RECORD FROM HEAVY ROTATION, MAY HAVE STARTED TO LOSE ORIGINAL SHINE, SOME OBVIOUS SURFACE MARKS AND/OR SURFACE SCRATCHES WHICH MAY CAUSE SURFACE SOUNDS, ESPECIALLY IN SOFT PASSAGES

VG-  THE RECORD HAS BEEN PLAYED SEVERAL TIMES, THE VINYL MAY APPEAR DULL, MAY HAVE LOTS OF TINY MARKS OR SURFACE SCRATCHES WHICH MAY BE FELT, SURFACE MARKS MAY BE HEAVY AND SURFACE NOISE MAY BE NOTICEABLE THROUGHOUT
