Description
This is the original deep-groove pressing of Art Blakey "The Jazz Messengers" on Elektra EKL-120. The playing surface appears to be unused, mint; Side B shows inaudible patterning from long-tem storage in a glassine sleeve. The laminated cover has sharp corners and perfect seams; there is a discoloration at the lower right corner of the front and the lower left corner of the back, but no paper damage. Personnel includes Bill Hardman, Jackie Mclean, Sam Dockery, and Spanky DeBrest.
