ORIGINAL BLUE NOTE VINYL! Up for auction is an original Mono pressing of the hard bop classic, Art Blakey Buhaina's Delight (Blue Note BLP 4104). Plastylite 'ear' and 'VAN GELDER' stamp are both present, with NY USA labels. The audio is superb, punchy and clear. I have fully play-tested the vinyl, so my grading is based on how the record actually sounds, as well as how it looks.
The laminated, dimpled front cover is a work of art and in impeccable condition. The back cover has a dedication in the top left and import stamps (normal for this era of UK-sourced Blue Note records) in the top right, but otherwise in excellent shape throughout. Spine is pristine, very slight corner wear.
Record has Plastylite 'ear' indicating an original Blue Note pressing, and 'VAN GELDER' stamp. The vinyl is strictly graded VG+ on the basis of its visual appearance (no scratches or hairlines but a few light cosmetic blemishes), but as so often with Blue Note monos of this vintage, the quality of the audio is much closer to Excellent as the visual flaws do not affect the audio. Inner: contemporary non-BN.

Note that I separate the vinyl from the outer sleeve for postage to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me, and in the way I'd like to receive them.
