THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1st MONO PRESSING FROM 1960 of "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" by Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers featuring Lee Morgan and Barney Wilen.

AA 68020 2L 380 and AA 68020 1L 380, ETCHED IN THE DEAD WAX. Original Fontana Records green label on vinyl with print witten in French. Deep Groove . This is the genuine article. 100% AUTHENTIC ORIGINAL Fontana Records 1st Mono Pressing.

THIS RECORD IS FROM OUR PERSONAL COLLECTION. Well maintained. Very Rare.

*Because our clients are mostly jazz collectors and connoisseurs, as we are, we made it our policy to only sell vinyl that we grade in VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) condition or better. This vinyl is in our opinion a VG+, looks and plays great.

Record Grade VG+ = Very well maintained. Just listened to both sides of the whole album and it plays smooth, It is from our personal collection. Little to no surface noise at all. A few surface scratches that have no effect on music. Difficult to find this rare vintage mono recording in such nice condition. (see pictures) 

Jacket Grade VG+ = Shiny, clean, well maintained. No staining. No writing. No tape, very small minor seem split on bottom. Has been kept in plastic. Ultra rare European thin style jacket, still glossy. A very clean jacket for a 55 year old album. (see pictures)

Arthur "Art" Blakey (October 11, 1919 – October 16, 1990), was an American Grammy Award-winning jazz drummer and bandleader.

Blakey was inducted into the Down Beat Jazz Hall of Fame, the Grammy Hall of Fame, and was awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005.

"Les Liaisons Dangereuses" film's score was composed and performed by Thelonious Monk, with additional music for the extended party scene by ‘’Jack Marray‘’ (an alias for Duke Jordan) which was performed Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers with Barney Wilen. The soundtrack, featuring only those tracks recorded by Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers with Barney Wilen, was originally released on the French Fontana label. The tracks by Thelonious Monk have never been released commercially.
