THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 12" 1st MONO PRESSING FROM 1960 of "Art" by Art Farmer featuring Tommy Flanagan on Argo Records. Collector's item !

LP-678 S-1 10587, LP-678 S-2 10588, ETCHED IN THE DEAD WAX. ORIGINAL GREY ARGO RECORDS LABEL WITH BLACK SCRIPT. "Chicago Ill. Made in U.S.A." on label. Deep Groove . This is the genuine article. 100% AUTHENTIC ORIGINAL ARGO RECORDS FIRST MONO PRESSING.

THIS RECORD IS FROM OUR PERSONAL COLLECTION. Well maintained. Very Rare.

*Because our clients are mostly jazz collectors and connoisseurs, as we are, we made it our policy to only sell vinyl that we grade in VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) condition or better. This vinyl is in our opinion a VG+, looks and plays great.

Record Grade VG++ = We purchased this record new in 1960 at Sam Goody, a famous record store in the United States. Very well maintained. Just listened to both sides of the whole album and it plays beautiful. We only listened to it a handful of times and the vinyl looks almost new. Little to no surface noise at all. A few minor surface scratches from playing the record that have no effect on music. Difficult to find this rare vintage mono recording in such nice condition. (see pictures) 

Jacket Grade VG+ = Very well maintained. We kept it on our shelf in plastic cover all these years. No staining. No writing. No tape, Three inch seem split at bottom right corner entry point from the record coming in and out of sleeve. We could have taped it but decided to leave that up to the next owner to do. Minor dent at middle entry point. Original stickers from "Sam Goody" where we bought the record new in 1960. ONE OWNER. A very clean jacket for a 55 year old album. (see pictures)

Arthur Stewart "Art" Farmer (August 21, 1928 – October 4, 1999) was an American jazz trumpeter and flugelhorn player. He also played flumpet, a trumpet–flugelhorn combination specially designed for him. He and his identical twin brother, double bassist Addison Farmer, started playing professionally while in high school. He performed and recorded with musicians such as Horace Silver, Sonny Rollins, Gigi Gryce, and became known principally as a bebop player.
