Description
This is another Jazz classic which was part of the collection of my late husband. The records have not been played since 1990 and have been stored. I want them to find new homes This is the Contemporary Vogue Recording from 1957 of Art Pepper with Miles Davis rhythm section. The number is LAC.12066. Contemporary C3532. The Matrix are stamped Side one VMGT-1196-1E and Side two VMGT-1197-2E The cover is clean and in excellent condition considering it’s age. The spine is good and the writing clear. The cover has some ringing where it has been stored and there are a few little creases near the opening where the sleeve has been bent back when the vinyl has been put in. The reverse is clean and in excellent condition. There are a few little wrinkles by the opening edge. The corners are good. The original inner lining is discoloured with age but perfect. The vinyl is bright and shiny. There are couple of hairline surface scratches on side one but they don’t affect the sound which is excellent. I have played both sides and it is a really great recording which plays perfectly. I haven’t cleaned it as I don’t want to damage it and would rather leave that to the new owner. The tracks are Side one: You’d be so nice to come home to, Red Pepper Blues, Imagination, Waltz me Blues, Straight Life. Side two: Jazz me Blues, Tin Tin Deo, Star Eyes, Birk’s Works. The labels are perfect with a little faint spindle marking. This is an amazing classic survivor in remarkable condition. I’m not a professional seller so please do ask any questions about the record and I will try to answer quickly. Thank you for looking.
