Description

Art Pepper's 1957 release 'Meets The Rhythm Section' on Contemporary Records (S 7532) is widely regarded as one of the finest jazz recordings from that decade.  Pepper's tone on the alto saxophone had the airiness of Lester Young but also a passionate cutting edge.  His ideas flowed with extraordinary lucidity....and on this album especially, his playing is intense but controlled.  A truly great jazz album.
Cover: Near Mint(minus)....almost perfect...with just some minor corner and edge wear. A solidly constructed sleeve.
Double-Sided Insert: Near Mint....some yellowing due to age.
Record: Near Mint.....like-new shine to both sides...hardly any evidence of play.  Both labels look fantastic...the quality of the vinyl is superb...barely any background noise ....a stunning audiophile pressing of one of the greatest jazz albums of all time.
