When asked to put down a sub-genre for Arthur Lee and his band Love I just did not know what to do. Lee's music defies genre as it was always evolving and changing even during these early days. All 3 of these records sound different from each other, although Lee's distinct songs and vocals always set love's music apart from the rest of the pack. Here are Love's first 3 LPs, every one a classic in it;s own right. I was hooked in 1966 when this young 14 year old first got a copy of the first LP. When Da Capo came out it really blew me away. Forever Changes changed the way I heard music the same way Pepper did for everyone else. Lee would cotinue to make wonderful records and music to the end, but this is where it started, with these first 3 records. All vinyl here is M- and are on the original gold Electra labels with original Electra sleeves. Da Capo has a 1966 Electra Records cataloge inside. Da Capo cover M- with slight spine wear. First Love cover has sticker smudge on upper right corner,light ring wear and 3 " tape repair on upper left spine. Forever Changes cover has light ring wear and 4" tape repair upper left spine. All are original stereo issues and sound great. Oh yeah, forgot to mention I'm throwing in an issued 45 RPM of 7+7 Is and its then non LP, NO Fourteen. A very nice package for what I hope is a reasonable minimum bid. Never forget Arther Lee and don't let anyone else forget him. He was one of a kind.
