AT THE CROSS The Carolinians was organized in 1951 in Asheboro, North Carolina, and since that time has traveled many thousands of miles to practically all regions of the East and Southeast, carrying the gospel in song to people of all faiths and walks of life. The Carolinians have done recordings on various labels, including: Bibletone, Brooke, Sing, Tarheel, and others. Regular radio programs and television work, along with the records, enables the Quartet to reach many more people than just the personal appear- ances would allow. The Carolinians is a very popular group wherever they go, because they sing with that certain spirit, a spiritual feeling, which rings true and clear, bringing to all who listen a spiritual blessing. This certain spirit is the sincere feeling that is Gospel Music. The Carolinians have recently undergone a few changes. Jay Sink, Manager of the Quartet, now sings bass. Terrie Sapp is singing baritone, and Bill Brooks still sings tenor. Butch Barlow is now singing lead. Playing the piano is Gene Boles. Glenn Fields on drums, John Lyon on bass guitar, and Buddy Hobgood on guitar. J. I. Thompson is at the organ. We feel that the Carolinians now have the best sound ever, and one of the most spiritual in Gospel music. Tarheel Records Box 873 Asheboro, N. C. 27203
