Description

Here we have a very interesting one here. Meddah were (commonly) the street theater performers in the Ottoman Empire days who could mimic people, animals, sound effects and everything else along with acting out them in an amusing way. Here we have the legendary meedah mister Ashki with "A Funny Jew(ish person) on one side and "Yangin" (Fire as in house(s) burning down) on the other side. The monologue about the Jewish person is not negative or deragotary in any way - in fact, is a great reflection of a funny and positive way Jewish people were seen in the Ottoman times. The other side is also amazing as he single handedly yells out sound effects and different people from a typical fire scene. Disc is nice VG to VG+. 1910s!
