Description
This is a one-sided promotional-only LP. Based on the songs included, I am guessing it's from 1969. This appears to possibly be a rare album - I cannot find any past record of it on eBay, Discogs, Popsike or Google.
This record was given away by the (ABC) "Associated Booking Corporation", a United States concert promoter.
This record features a spoken male announcer voice, introducing short musical snippets of songs by a variety of groups who were then booked for concerts by the "Associated Booking Corporation".
No full songs included, and no other related commentary.
Side two is blank.
Here's a list of the songs/musical artists that you will hear short musical snippets of:
Creedence Clearwater Revival, Harpers Bizarre, Smokestack Lightning, Tommy James & The Shondells, Canned Heat, BB King, Albert King, Bobby Blue Bland, Hugh Masekela, Cat Mother, Carla Thomas, Booker T & The M.G.'s, Watts 103rd Street Band, Taj Mahal, Ike & Tina Turner, Jackie Wilson, Savoy Brown, The Buckinghams, Boys town, The Beach Boys.
All the musical snippets included are the original recordings. Most musical snippets last approximately between10 to 30 seconds.
Disc is visually in only G condition, but it plays better than it looks. Other than some very minor crackle during the quest parts occasionally, the actual snippets and male announcer voice play cleanly and clearly.
The outer cover is simply a thin paper sleeve - it is NOT a regular cardboard album cover (see photos 1 and 2 of the front and back covers). This outer sleeve has some minor shelf wear, a 2-inch seam split on the bottom edge, a corner crease on the bottom right, and the right edge of cover is repaired with clear scotch tape. See photos to view the cover and these listed flaws.
The disc label on side one has one minor sticker residue line (this is a minor flaw).
