Description
This is part of a large auction of blues, R&B and a few rock n' roll 10" 78's. Almost all of these came from the collection of a 1950's Yale radio DJ. Across the board, they have been played very little.

Format: 78 rpm 10" shallac record
Year: 1950
Notes: Red & black label first pressing. Grimes was a guitarist who played with many of the big names of the day including Billie Holiday, Charlie Parker & Coleman Hawkins. Nice sides here with a mash-up of blues and R&B elements.
Record Condition: E+, The record plays great with great sound, almost no surface noise at all. Very little wear, just some very light scuffing in spots. Labels are very clean as well, no marks, tears or obvious spindle marks. Very clean, high grade copy overall.
All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. I am an experienced grader and use the VJM grading system, but please see pictures as so much of this is subjective. These will be shipped in sleeves in a cardboard sandwich in a box for maximum protection.
