German Heavy Metal/Black Metal band formed in 2010

Overview of Attic Attic is a German heavy metal band formed in 2010, known for their distinct blend of traditional heavy metal with occult and dark themes. The band draws heavily from the sound and aesthetics of early Mercyful Fate and King Diamond, featuring high-pitched, theatrical vocals, intricate guitar work, and a sinister atmosphere in their music. Attic has gained recognition in the underground metal scene for their dedication to the classic heavy metal sound, often described as "occult heavy metal."
Attic's music is characterized by its haunting melodies, complex song structures, and a strong emphasis on atmosphere. The band's lyrics typically explore themes of the occult, witchcraft, and the supernatural, contributing to their eerie and mystical persona.
Overview of Invocation Invocation is Attic's debut studio album, released in 2012. The album received critical acclaim for its authentic take on the traditional heavy metal sound, with many drawing comparisons to Mercyful Fate due to the vocal style and dark, occult themes.
The album features a series of tracks that delve into the realms of witchcraft, the occult, and dark rituals, all wrapped in a classic heavy metal package. Songs like "Funeral in the Woods" and "Ghost of the Orphanage" showcase Attic's ability to create a chilling atmosphere while maintaining the energy and drive characteristic of traditional heavy metal. The album is both a homage to the early days of heavy metal and a fresh take on the genre, making it a standout release for fans of occult and traditional metal.
