Description
Please read the entire contents of this listing carefully as I know this will get attention but I want to be sure I am understood carefully. In cleaning out my storage unit I came across a number of classic Blue Note records without covers and in varying conditions. Many are first pressing and some are second pressing and only one Blue Label pressing are in the batch. I have many more of these so how this auction goes will determine if I continue down this path. The first thing is that these record are going to be sold AS IS and no returns or refunds allowed. I will try my best to be as accurate as possible as three of these records would go for close to $1000 if in great condition, unfortunately they are not, also these are NOT records for collectors looking to snag a Blue Note and try and flip it for a profit. Please go to the next auction if this is your goal, these are not the ones. Music lovers these are for you. What I will do is take the time and lost the records in accordance with the photos above and tell you which pressing it is and the condition. Please assume that every record is G+ unless I say otherwise. That way no one will try and say I "overgraded" a record to try and obtain more money. These are NOT for you. Lee Morgan The Sidewinder NY USA RVG 1st press This one not so bad so VG- condition is a safe grade
Donald Byrd Places and Spaces BN LA549 Blue Label VG condition, maybe a bit better
Horace Silver Quintet BLP 1539 6 Pieces of Silver 47W63rd St 2nd pressing Not too bad just some light hairs
Hank Mobley No Room For Squares 84149 Liberty stereo VG- stereo light marks Side B
Jimmy Smith Crazy Baby 47W63RD stereo RVG VG- with a few light hair marks both sides

Miles Davis Young Man with a Horn Vol.2 767 Lexington Ave BLP 5022 10" pretty much a coaster thrown in for free this one is very poor and rated G
Curtis Fuller Volume 3 Blue Note BLP 1583-This one is the best of the bunch it is at best VG and to be safe I will call it VG- but it can be played with little noise, and a good cleaning will work wonders for this one. First pressings for this in VG+ or better condition easily top $1000 look it up for yourself. If anything, bud on this entire set just for this one.
Horace Parlan Up and Down Blue Note BST 84092 stereo NY USA-This is the second best one if the batch and the final entry here. This one is at best VG with just a few light hair marks but plays pretty well, from my personal collection with Grant Green and Booker Ervin and George Tucker.
If you have interest in these records my suggestion is to bid early as if one the last day of the auction the bids are very low, I may stop the auction and just keep these as collector's items. This is about 15 classic Blue Note records and 5 of them are very valuable if in better condition. Again, they are sold AS IS and they absolutely are NO refunds for condition issues as I accurately stated all of the conditions, even under graded some of them to avoid some petulant bidder wanting refunds if he can't flip them for a profit. These are for music lovers only. All of the rest of my auctions have some much better cool items. All of these records have NO COVERS and are from a warehouse where they have been sitting for a very long time, over 10 years.
