Description

Audiophon is a tiny audiophile label specialized in piano and occasional violin recordings with extremely live, spacious, dynamic sound. Knowledgeable collectors will snatch them up in a heartbeat and once you hear one, you'll know why! This is a live concert recording of very unusual circumstances. Claude Frank and Leon Fleisher are both famous pupils of the legendary Arthur Schnabel. Here Frank plays the piano and Fleisher conducts in the Mozart #24, and the true rarity is the original Schnabel composition, Duodecimet (for 12 instruments). It is extremely well-written and recorded here.
