Description
This is the one to own.
Audioslave’s Revelations in the exceptionally scarce 2021 Play On Color limited edition, issued in South Korea and manufactured to a considerably higher specification than your average color-vinyl reissue.
Strictly limited to only 500 copies worldwide, this edition was produced on 180-gram green & blue vinyl with white splatter, cut at Schnittstelle Mastering & Vinylschnitt in Germany and pressed by Pallas GmbH in Germany—one of the most respected vinyl pressing plants in the world. Those specifications are printed directly on the original hype strip and are independently documented by the Play On Color producer.
This copy is FACTORY SEALED, with the original Play On Color hype strip intact. It has never been opened or played.
Beyond the striking appearance, this particular edition has developed a reputation among Audioslave collectors as an especially desirable pressing of Revelations. Even when it was released, collectors were specifically calling attention to the Pallas manufacture and discussing it as potentially the best pressing of the album.
And the scarcity is real: this was not an unlimited repress. 500 copies were produced, and retailers now show the edition as sold out.
Revelations was Audioslave’s third and final studio album, bringing together Chris Cornell, Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk, with Brendan O’Brien producing. This pressing presents that final album in one of its most collectible physical editions.
IMPORTANT PHOTO NOTE: The sealed copy shown in the photographs is the actual copy being offered for sale. The photographs showing the green/blue/white splatter vinyl are of my personal opened copy of this exact same pressing and are included strictly to demonstrate what the vinyl looks like. Because splatter patterns are naturally unique, the appearance of the vinyl inside the sealed copy will vary.
CONDITION: Factory sealed / new. The vinyl itself has not been visually inspected or play-graded because doing so would require breaking the original factory seal. Please examine the photographs carefully for the condition of the sealed jacket.
This is an increasingly difficult Audioslave pressing to find at all—much less still sealed—and an outstanding copy for the serious Audioslave, Chris Cornell or modern alternative-rock vinyl collection.
