Released 1982 in the US by John Hammond Records # W2X 37673
this is a Vinyl 2-LP Set in a Deluxe Gatefold Cover with 2 Bonus Inserts!
it's a Rare Promotional Copy and is Autographed by Allen Ginsberg as well as
his collaborator for this material Peter Orlovsky and it's inscribed to a very well-known
Pulitzer Prize Award Winning Writer named John Hersey and his wife Barbara Hersey
who must've been friends or in some way acquainted with Ginsberg. if you're unfamiliar with
John Hersey he's best known for being part of the "New Journalism" Movement and for
his coverage of the aftermath of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima Japan
the records are in New Mint Condition and have been Fully Play Tested
and they play and Sound Fantastic and have just very light visual wear. if desired a
digitalcopy of the recordings can be made for an additional charge. the Gatefold Cover is in
Excellent Condition with no seam splits, markings or writing - other than the inscription
and autographs! otherwise it has some light visual edge and corner wear and it also
has a ding to the opening edge of the back panel of the Gatefold Cover. both of the inserts
are also in nice shape with some light wear including some chipping and a 1" tear
to the edges of the folded paper insert. the newspaper insert is in nice shape.
the Allen Ginsberg Signature appears above his head on the Front Cover
and Peter Orlovsky's Signature appears twice - on the front cover (where it's
a little bit faint) and also on the inside of the Gatefold Cover where it's clearer. it is
dated 2/28/83 and the inscription reads: "For John & Barbara Hersey"
