Description

Up for sale is a Southern Gospel Music Gem!  This 1979 Tennesseans LP, "Not Just Another Quartet Four-Part Harmony Singin' Country Vocal Group", is signed by legend tenor "Little" Willie Wynn and other singers and musicians.
Willie Wynn was an originator and long time member of the Oak Ridge Boys.  He was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame with the Oak Ridge Boys in 2000, and into the Southern Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in 2011.
I've been able to identify five of the six signatures on the album:

  • Willie Wynn
  • Ray Burdett
  • Woody Wright
  • Jerry Burnside
  • Michael Sykes
There's a sixth that says "Buddy..." something.   I don't know whose that is.
The autographs are to addressed to "Tim".  I can't say whether or not that's Tim Paul, the bassist, but I suppose it's possible.
I did a lot of searching to get some background on this album, but I couldn't find any evidence online that this album even existed.  I assume it's rare, if not very rare.
Everyone who signed had/has a long and independently interesting career in the music industry after the break up of the Tennesseans.  They all continue to sing, play, or produce, except for Ray Burdett, who passed away in 2011.
